are only | "innama

| | peacemakers | muslihuna |

| 2:12 | Verily!
They are the ones | "Ala
"in-na-hum | |
| | who
make mischief | humu
al-mufsiduna |
|
| | but
| wa-lakin |
|
| | they
perceive (it) not | l
la ya-sh’uruna |
|
| | | | |
| 2:13 | And
when | Wa-“idha
| |
| | it
is said to them (hypocrites)
| qila
la-hum | |
| | believe | “aminu
| |
| | as | kama
| |
| | have
believed | “amana
| |
| | the
people (followers of Muhammad S) | al-n-nasu
| |
| | | | |
| 2:14 | They
say
| qalu
| |
| | shall
we believe | “a-nu-“minu
| |
| | as | kama
| |
| | the
fools have believed | “amana
als-sufaha-“u
| |
| | verily,
they are | “ala
“in-na-hum | |
| | the
fools | humu
al-s-sufaha-“u |

| | but
they know not | wa-lakinl
la ya-’lamuna |
|
| | | | |
| 2:14 | And
when they meet | Wa-“idha
laqu | |
| | those
who believe |
al-ladhina “amanu |
|
| | they
say: "We believe," | qalu
“amanna | |
| | but
when they are alone | wa-“idha
khalaw | |
| | with
their Shayatin (devils - polytheists, hypocrites, etc.),
| “ila
shayatini-him | |
| | they
say | qalu
| |
| | truly,
we are with you | “in-na
ma’a-kum | |
| | verily, | “in-nama
| |
| | we
were but mocking | nahnu
mustahzi-“una |
|
| |
| |
| | 2:15 | Allah | Allahu
| |
| | (He)
mocks
| ya-stahzi-“u
| |
| | at
them | bi-him
| |
| | and
gives them increase
| wa-yamud-du-hum
| |
| | in
their wrong-doings
| fi
tughyani-him | |
| | to
wander blindly. | ya-’mahuna |
