Batil
means lie, wrong or false. It is an antonym of Haq which
means Truth. In the Holy Qur-an, the word Batil
is used at many places for describing lie, wrong or false.

That is because
Allah - He is the Truth (the only
True God of all that exists, Who has no partners or rivals with Him),
and what they (the polytheists)
invoke besides Him, it is Batil (falsehood).
And verily, Allah - He is the Most High, the Most Great. Surah
(Chapter) al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) The Qur-an 22:62 |

And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth [i.e.
Muhammad صلى الله
عليه وسلم is Allah’s Messenger
and his qualities are written in your Scriptures, the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel
(Gospel)] while you know (the
truth). Surah
(Chapter) al-Baqarah (The Cow) Qur-an 2:42 |
