Bashar
|
The Messenger of Allah,
Muhammad S has been addressed as Bashar, a man, at several
places in the Holy Qur-an.
Among the many objections,
disbelieving Quraysh had raised after the Messenger of Allah,
Muhammad S began inviting them to the path of Allah
(God); was that he was just another man like them and was not an
Angel or someone special.
The Messenger of Allah,
Muhammad S was reminded by Allah (God) to reinforce
this very concept that he was just another man, who was especially
bestowed by Allah (God) with Risalah (Messengership),
and who used to receive Wahi (Messages from
Allah).

"Or
you have a house of Zukhruf (like silver and
pure gold), or you ascend up into the sky, and even then we
will put no faith in your ascension until you bring down for
us a Book that we would read." Say (O Muhammad
S): Glorified (and Exalted) is my Lord [(Allah) above
all that evil they (polytheists) associate with Him]! Am I
anything but a man, sent as a Messenger?" |
|
And
nothing prevented men from believing when the guidance came
to them, except they said: "Has Allah sent a man
as (His) Messenger?"
Surah (Chapter) Al-Isra"
(The Night Journey) The Qur-an 17:93-94 |

Say
(O Muhammad S): "I am only a man like you. It
has been revealed to me that your Ilah (God)
is One Ilah (God – i.e. Allah). So whoever
hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness
and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."
Surah
(Chapter) Al-Kahf (The Cave) The Qur-an
18:110 |

Say (O Muhammad
S): "I am only a human being like you. It is revealed
to me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah
(God – i.e. Allah), therefore take Straight Path to
Him (with true Faith – Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to
Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikin
(the polytheists, idolaters, dosbelievers in the Oneness of
Allah).

(Chapter) Fussliat (They are explained in
detail) The Qur-an 41:6
