Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah [i.e. they have gone out for Jihad (holy fighting), and showed not their backs to the disbelievers], of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred), and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed [i.e.they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allah] in the least." (33:23)
They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire," (44:56)
Then how (will it be) when the angels will take their souls at death, smiting their faces and their backs?" (47:27)
We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable," (56:60)
And you at the moment are looking on," (56:84)
But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol.27, Page 209]" (56:85)
Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.)" (56:86)
Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful?" (56:87)
And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you, before death comes to one of you and he says: "My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakat) of my wealth, and be among the righteous [i.e. perform Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah)]." (63:10)
And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded)" (75:29)
