111. Surah al-Masad (The Palm Fibre)

Bismi Allahi alr-Rahmani alr-Rahimi
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

 
 
1. Tabbat yadaa abi lahabinw wa-tabba
  Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم), and perish he! 
 
2. Ma aghna 'anhu maluhu wama kasaba
  His wealth and his children will not benefit him! 
 
3. Sayasla naran dhata lahabin
  He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 
 
4. Waimra''atuhu hammalata al-hatabi
  And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sa'dan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, or use to slander him). 
 
5. Fi jidiha hablunm minm masadin
  In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre).
