97. Surah al-Qadr (The Night of Decree) |

Bismi Allahi alr-Rahmani alr-Rahimi
In
the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
 |
||
| 1. | “Inna “anzalnahu fi laylati al-qadri | |
| Verily! We have sent it (this Qur-an) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree). | ||
 |
||
| 2. | Wamaa “adraka ma laylatu al-qadri | |
| A Messenger [Muhammad (Peace be upon him)] from Allah, reciting (the Qur-an) purified pages [purified from Al-Batil (falsehood)]. | ||
 |
||
| 3. | Laylatu al-qadri khayrunm min alfi shahrin | |
| The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months). | ||

||
| 4. | Tanazzalu al-mala-“ikatu waalr Ruhu fiha bi-“idhni Rabbihim min kulli “amrin | |
| Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] by Allah's permission with All Decrees, | ||
|
||
| 5. | Salamun hiya hatta matla-’i al-fajri | |
| Peace! (All that night, there is peace and goodness from Allah to his believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn. | ||
